For a 2015 school project at the University of Houston, I created an infographic poster and video to represent the injustice of the U.S.’s nonexistent paid maternity leave laws. Women in Labor (in the U.S.) is an infographic poster that focuses on paid maternity leave and the women’s plight in the U.S. labor force. To create a more personal feeling, I used photographic images of common objects and women to combine with the data. Paid Maternity Leave is a statistical video to inform the issues of paid maternity leave and the beneficial outcomes of mandating such a policy.
